Diagnosis

A very hairy species, e.g. on vertex, eyes, propodeum, and gaster, but mesoscutum with midlobe with only two pair of setae and scutellum with one pair; mesoscutum and scutellum smooth and shiny without any trace of reticulation, scutellum without median groove and without lateral mesh-rows; propodeum smooth medially but with median carina and submedian grooves indicated; occiput with a sharp carina behind eyes and a sharp edge behind vertex; clypeus protruding and bilobed; forewing with setae in marginal fringe with apex slightly curved; male antenna with 2-segmented clava.

Belize, Costa Rica, USA (Florida).

Biology

Gregarious endoparasitoid in the pupae of Camponotus abdominalis Fabricius (Hymenoptera: Formicidae).
